Versioning of an action happens whenever there’s a server-side update from the application (software provider e.g., zendesk). Updates to an action might be in the form of the action requiring additional inputs, or changes to the format of existing inputs or connection type.
Whenever there’s an update, our developers will implement the update for the respective action and a new version number will be added to the action.
The automations you created using the older versions of an action will still be functional (unless there’s a major change in the API (from the application software provider e.g., Zendesk) in which case we will remove that version from the dropdown list), but you will be able to create new automations using the newer versions of an action only. We will be notifying the admins in advance prior to any major changes.
